Luigi Pellegrin is one of the most significant personalities of Italian organic architecture.

Following the exhibition “Copiare Saturno” set up in Rome in 2014 on the activity of this eclectic and visionary architect, the Cultural Association Pisastudium, with Studio Bianchi Architettura and AIAC – Italian Association of Architecture and Criticism, organized an exhibition and a conference for to show the Pellegrin’s architecture, its poetics and its intentions.

Pellegrin is inextricably linked to Pisa for the “Concetto Marchesi” School, an extraordinary and emblematic example of the concrete transposition of the architect’s design visions.

Another aim of the exhibition was to stimulate, in the widest possible audience, an informed and aware vision, without prejudices of any kind, of this important urban object.

With the drawings presented in Rome in the exhibition “Copiare Saturno” it has been added a section on the architecture buildings designed and built by Pellegrin, and in particular the experience gained in Pisa in the realization of the “Concetto Marchesi School”, with a look at selected projects of other groups participants in the competition. The exhibition is accompanied by a specially made video with significant testimonies and contributions of people that worked with Pellegrin, including an intervention by Massimiliano Fuksas.

Alongside the exhibition, the study conference on the figure and on the work of Pellegrin, with particular attention to the school architecture built by him, which sees the participation of authoritative personalities of the cultural and scientific world at national level, among which Furio Colombo, Luca Zevi, Luigi Prestinenza Puglisi, Alessandra Muntoni_Group Metamorph, Massimo Dringoli and Luca Lanini.
