Copying Saturn is a window on the research of Luigi Pellegrin.

The title may appear provocative or utopian, but those fortunate enough to meet Pellegrin know that the tension in creating a new habitat was an extremely pragmatic experience for him.

Pellegrin is a radical architect.

With the radical term I refer to both the ability to penetrate reality in search of the ultimate meaning of things and the search for origins.

Strong points from which to explore the meaning and place of humans in the universe.

In a series of large drawings, many of which are exhibited for the first time, he presents his personal research on the construction of a new place for humans on the planet.

Visions of great strength, but also of great respect for the ecosystem.
Visions of a liberated environment where the building is concentrated in dense nodes raised from the ground.

Contrary to the contemporary approach, borrowing research from science fiction and taking root in the visions of Louis Sullivan, Pellegrin proposes a strong approach andn Freeing the soil is the constant imperative of research,

the place for humanity is above, in macro specialized outgrowths, linked by lines that contain energy flows.

On the ground the nature reappropriates the space, the artificial is concentrated in a few, dense singular points.

Pellegrin, changing the point of view, jumping to the scale of the planet, shows us how to deal with the theme of sustainability, inflated, in a “other” courageous way
