The project involves the creation of a commercial and office space that represents a showcase for Made in Italy in the United Arab Emirates. The design theme was to identify a solution that combines the two souls of “Casa Italia” by reducing the consumption of soil and responding to the climatic conditions of the place.

We have identified a serial solution that would allow us to reiterate the module at will while creating an urban spatiality.

The serial element designed to host offices, meeting rooms, representative spaces as well as exhibition spaces, has a characteristic arched shape. The module is a modern reinterpretation of a macro porch, it is designed to reduce the footprint of the directional buildings on the ground, leaving the area for the community, for the entertainment and for the commercial functions unobstructed, while at the same time ensuring the creation of a large shaded space perfect for social interactions.

Each basic element develops a dimension of about 3,500 / 4,000 square meters with a minimal structural footprint. The exhibition spaces are made in the interspaces in contact with the roof. The macro porch, at ground level, hosts commercial activities, restaurants and the access to the theater.
